What are guest portraits?
They are a lovely way for your guests to take home their own custom piece of artwork! I arrive in time to set up and welcome your guests at the reception to explain the process and have their picture taken. I then get to work creating individual, couple, or family watercolor portraits your guests can pick up as they leave. Many people will frame them to enjoy and happily remember your special day for years to come.
How many guests can you accommodate?
Typically I can accommodate 8-10 guests per hour. Here's a handy chart for reference.
3 hours ~ 24-30 guests
4 hours ~ 32-40 guests
5 hours ~ 40-50 guests
6 hours ~ 48-60 guests
7 hours ~ 56-70 guests
Keep in mind that not all guests will want to have their portrait done. For Friday and Saturday after 3pm I require a three hour minimum. If I do not finish all guest portraits in the time allotted I will simply finish them within one week in my studio and mail them to you to be included in their thank you cards.
Do you travel?
Yes! I love to travel and it's a large part of my awesome job. If an event is three hours or more from Raleigh, NC I ask for one hotel stay and a $70. fuel charge. If the event requires a flight I ask for two hotel stays depending on arrival and departure times. I will always do my best to find the most affordable options.
What are your rates?
To book and secure your day I simply require 50% down and the rest paid two weeks before your event. I am happy to set up payment plans you are comfortable with as well. My hourly rate is $300. with a minimum four hour booking on Friday and Saturday’s . I also offer discounts to bundle services together and would be happy to build you a custom quote.
What style are your portraits?
My watercolor portraits are fun, minimal, faceless in design though not lacking style, reflecting your guests skin tone, hair and fashion. Guests are always welcome to strike a fun pose!
Are you available for other events?
I am available for corporate events, parties, showers, restaurants, breweries and even concerts! It's been really fun being a part of each of those so let me know what your thinking and lets collaborate!
